{ Timmerman won the second prize, one point after Andersson. Andersson made a magnificent debut in correspondence chess. He won the super tournament (111/2/14) and became Correspondence Grandmaster. His games as White were spectacular, because his opponents chose risky openings and Ulf crushed them like beginners. Timmerman (101/2), Van Oosterom (10) and Elwert (91/2) followed and would stay at the top during the next years. Elwert became Correspondence Grandmaster.
